The Darling of Heaven

We sang a worship song on Sunday morning.  I have always liked it.

Worthy is the Lamb 

Thank you for the cross Lord
Thank you for the price You paid
Bearing all my sin and shame

So, we're standing there singing and all of a sudden the one line jumps out at me - the Darling of Heaven crucified.  Oh, what feelings and emotion rolled over me.  Because immediately I thought of our Little Guy - and what a darling we consider him.  How much we love him.  How precious he is to us.  Then I thought about God sending His son to Earth to die for us.  Oh, what a wondrous thing that was.  What a sacrifice.  It's almost beyond imagining.  Then I thought of Mary, Jesus' mother.  Such a good thing she didn't know at the beginning how he would die.  Her darling, precious baby boy.  As loved as our Little Guy.  It is an overwhelming thought that has stayed with me all week.
