Temporarily Abandoned

My daughter, her husband, and the Little Guy, plus lots of her husband's relatives, flew to Texas yesterday for a family reunion.  Her husband's grandma and grandpa are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary and renewing their vows, along with having a big family reunion.  So I am Little Guy-less for a week and missing both him and his mom already.  Hey, let's be honest, I was missing them before they left!  To add insult to injury, my computer died Wednesday evening.  So I have been both unable to talk to my daughter, and unable to wile away the time reading blogs or playing computer games.  :)

Luckily yesterday, I had a tea party planned for some women that I had never met in person, but knew as fellow posters on an internet list for fans of Tasha Tudor.  They all showed up to munch on my goodies and get to know each other.  So much fun!  It's amazing how when you pull together a group of women with similar interests how quickly you become friends.  Finally someone to show my quilt tops from my mom and my french fashion dolls.  Women who are interested in quilting, spinning, and knitting.  They brought presents including yarn and homemade soap.  It was just too exciting!  I'm looking forward to visiting with them again.  It was a great distraction and I get my computer back tonight.  Yippee!  :)
